Cheney's Top Aide Indicted

The CIA leak investigation is "not over," special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald said Friday after announcing charges against I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff....

Libby testified that he heard CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity from Tim Russert of NBC News when, in fact, he learned of Plame's identify from other government officials, the indictment alleged.

"Mr. Libby's story that he was at the tail end of a chain of phone calls, passing on from one reporter what he heard from another, was not true," Fitzgerald said. "He was at the beginning of the chain of phone calls -- the first official to disclose this information outside the government to a reporter -- and then he lied about it afterwards, under oath and repeatedly," he said.

Libby's attorney Joseph Tate said Fitzgerald concluded Libby did not violate a law that makes it a crime to intentionally disclose the identity of a covert agent.

A Mosquito With Glowing Testicles

British scientists have made a breakthrough in the control of malaria: by creating mosquitoes with fluorescent testicles.

The team of researchers at Imperial College London has found a way to tell the sex of the mosquitoes -- by genetically modifying them so that the males express a glowing protein in their testes. A laser beam then singles out the glowing larvae, which are then separated from the females.

J.K. Rowling Rival Labels Harry Potter "Gay"

A cleric turned top-selling author of supernatural children's novels was thrown out of a school where he was delivering a talk after he told pupils that Harry Potter was "gay."

Reverend Graham Taylor, who penned the novel "Shadowmancer" which, like the tales of the famous boy wizard created by J.K. Rowling, centres on witchcraft and battling evil, got his marching orders after teachers accused him of homophobia.

"As for Harry Potter, well, he's not the only gay in the village," the former Anglican priest told children at Penair School in Truro, southwest England, referring to a catchphrase from the popular comedy TV show "Little Britain." He also described the villains in Rowling's blockbuster series as "wimps..."

Kidnapping Suspect Was Girls' Martial Arts Instructor

A frightening experience for twin 10-year-old girls allegedly involving a man who had taught the girls martial arts at a school in Vienna [VA]....

Jacobs taught the girls martial arts at a Vienna school, and apparently did a pretty good job, judging by the bruises seen on his face in court Monday. Police say he got a black eye and other injuries when the girls fought back during the break in.

The girls also managed to partially pull off a mask Jacobs was wearing, and they also recognized his voice.
